Halls of Reflection Random Daily Heroic

Today I did HoR Heroic, we had a good group. Instead of doing the first event in one corner benefiting from line-of-sight to pull the mobs closer, we did it in the entrance hallway. It went supprisingly well. Escaping from the Lich King was a close call at the end. The last wall is always critical for me, I always get aggro on the second wave of abobinations. This time it went well, I kept my "Fade" ability for that occasion.

PuG 25 Man VoA

This evening I pugged VoA25, quite an easy run, altought there are always wierdos in pugs... A lot of people not paying attention to fire and smoke...The mount didn't drop this time,, I've seen it drop like 6 times but I haven't been lucky so far.

I'll give it another try next week....

Going to try finding a group for Onyxia.

My Birthday

Today is my birthday...Try guessing my age LOL.
I don'T know if I'll be raiding today but I'll probably be logging in to do the daily random heroic to gather some frost emblems.

This week was a very good week for Grandpapabi, I got at least 4 good gear upgrades, I got the cloak lvl264 with my frost emblems, got a new pair of boots + 2 new trinkets. I reached 3033 Spell Power self-buffed. So I'm really looking forward to my next raid to test this new gear.

So logon to Zul'jin maybe you'll see me hanging around Dalaran or Ironforge.

The Gunship Battle ICC 10 Man Basic Instinct

This one is a really cool fight. The goal is to destroy the other ship. We used 2 tanks and 3 healers. The first tank stays on the allied ship to taunt the mobs that will appear. 2 melee use the canons to kill mobs on the other ship, while ranged and other melee kills the ads on the allied and enemy ship. At one point the enemy general will call for a Mage to appear and freeze our canons. The 2nd tank + 2 healers and ranged DPS will use their rocket packs to jump aboard the enemy ship. At this point the DPS focus on killing the mage to free our canons while the tank taunts the "mini-boss" to keep him occupied. As soon as the mage is down everybody returns to the allied ship using the rocket packs... The tank needs to be the first to hop aboard the enemy ship and the last to leave to make sure that no Healers or DPS gets aggro on the mobs. The canons and dps should focus on the Axethrowers on the enemy ship as they gain ranks and do more and more dmg. Don't forget to kill the ads on the allied ship as well to avoid being overwhelmed. And after a while another Mage will appear so you will jump back and forth between the 2 ships. Rinse and repeat.

Lord Marrowgar 10-Man Basic Instinct

Sunday evening we killed Lord marrowgar, supprisingly it was an easy fight, it was our first time in ICC 10-man and we one-shotted him... Took me a couple of seconds to get out of the Cold Flames a couple of times but we managed to kill him anyhow.
So the fight goes down like this: The 2 tanks need to be on top of each other no more than 5 yrds away to soak de dmg from "Saber Lash" wich can easily kill a tank if not stacked. Marrowgar does "Cold Flames", the big blue streaks, can be easily avoided by side-stepping, he does an awful lot of those. He'll also put a spike on random raid members, it's called "Bonespike graveyard". These spikes need to be killed as fast as you can, they are the priority in this fight, they'll do an big initial dmg and ticks for more dmg each second thereafter...In phase 2 he goes into a whirlwind "Bone storm", he targets a random player and charges him, when he gets to that player he leaves 4 "Cold Flames" on the ground wich you need to avoid...The dmg from Bone Storm is not that great, you need to focus on getting away from Cold Flames...After he's done with the Bone Storm, he'll wipe his agro and go back into phase 1. Rinse and repeat 'til the boss is dead.

This dungeon is really easy, we even did it with a player just following, we brought her in just for the reputation. The first boss is really just a tank and spank, if you stack on the boss from the begining you don't have to move the whole fight. At one point he does his big ability, DBM tells you to move in to avoid the damage, that's why we stack on him at the begining of the fight. 2nd boss isn't much harder, you just have to move out of the purple circle when he does his "Mirrored Soul" ability, he targets a random player while doing this. All the little adds that spawns don't do much damage, in fact I'm not even sure if they actually deal damage. So that's it for The Forge of Souls. Stay tuned for The Pit of Saron footage.

Icecrown Citadel and 3 new Heroics...Patch 3.3

Patch 3.3 is out. 1 new raid instance Icrown citadel as well as 3 new Heroic dungeons to have fun in. New Looking For Group interface that lets you specify which role you want to play (Tank, Healer, DPS) and the game matches you automatically with other players from your realm and in other realms too. So finding a group is really easy. With that comes the new Daily Random Heroic dungeon quest wich gives you 2 emblems of triumph and 2 emblems of frost, to get cool Lvl251 gear.

Yesterday we did Pit of Saron, one of the 3 new Heroic dungeons. I will edit the footage and post a video of it real soon. I will try to do that tonight if I have time...My raid group is scheduled to raid Icecrown Citadel 25man this evening and tomorrow evening, so I will have videos from that raid as well.

From what I've seen so far from ICC, it's quite a challenge, even if 1 of our raid groups have already cleared the 4 available bosses, it's not going to be a walk in the park for us as we are a casual group keeping focus on having fun instead of performance.
